On behalf of the jury, Professor Rossmanith praised the WIAI faculty's extensive and comprehensive range of support for girls and young women in computer science from primary school through to the doctoral phase. He emphasized: "Building on the measures to attract female students, the Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg relies on the WIAI women's network, a mentoring program for female students, which explicitly supports them in their career planning. Thanks to all these measures, the University of Bamberg has been able to continuously increase the proportion of women in computer science by ten percentage points compared to the German average." The jury also recognized the impressive submissions from the University of Leipzig and the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, which are also dedicated to the topic of equality and diversity work with good ideas and a great deal of commitment.
