Curriculum Vitae

Jan Schulz studied in the Bachelor programme Philosophy and Economics at the University of Bayreuth during which he spent a semester abroad at the Karl-Franzens-University in Graz. He completed the B.A. with a Bachelor Thesis on ?The Impact of Nonhomothetic Preferences and the Threat of Parallel Trade: An Analysis of Trade Patterns under Monopolistic Competition“. Thereafter Jan Schulz decided to enroll in the Master programme European Economic Studies. The title of the Master Thesis is ?An Empirical Investigation into the German Wealth Distribution“. From 2018 to 2020, he was a member of the Bamberg Research Group on Behavioural Macroeconomics. He completed his doctoral degree in March 2023 with his thesis titled ?Essays on Aggregation With Heterogeneous and Interacting Agents“. In 2015, he was one of the founders of the Group for Pluralist Economics at the University of Bamberg and is still an active member there. He was already a student assistant at the Chair of International Economics from 2015 to 2017 and is again employed as a research assistant since the summer term 2018.
