The Faculty of Human Sciences (Huwi) is home to the subjects of education and psychology as well as various subject-related educational and didactic disciplines, which are primarily dedicated to teacher training. Around 2,200 students are enrolled at the faculty. Huwi's particular strength is its interdisciplinary teaching and research. In addition, the Human Sciences and Education has an excellent network with other institutions at and around the University of Bamberg. For example, together with the Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics, and Business Administration (SoWi), works closely with the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIfBi), which is located in Bamberg. The LIfBi oversees the influential National Educational Panel Study (NEPS).
In addition, Huwi cooperates with the Bamberg Centre for Teacher Education (ZLB), among others. These and other cooperations help to prepare students in the best possible way for professional practice, and to do so at a high scientific level.
