Funding is granted for, but not limited to:

• Conference and travel expenses for female researchers, primarily when presenting at the conference (please also check in advance whether you are eligible for funding from the Standing Committee on Research and Early-career Scholars (St?ndige Kommission f¨¹r Forschung und wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs), FNK)
• Conference and travel expenses for female students if they are presenting at this conference
• Travel costs for research trips of female students, if these are necessary for completion of their final thesis
• Guest lectures, lecture series, colloquia with regard to gender or women's issues
• Seminars or workshops for female students and staff

Among others, the following posts are excluded from funding:

• Printing costs
• Literature
• Charges for food and drink

The Equal Opportunity Advisory Board decides on the funding of applications that are not covered by the above points. The maximum grant per application will be reassessed each year and depends on the amount of applications and budgetary resources. It currently amounts to € 200 for female students and € 250 for female academic staff but may be lower depending on the number of applications which have been submitted.

Generally, you may submit one application per year.

Applications must be submitted within 4 months after beginning your trip in order to guarantee that we have enough time to process your application. Please note that the applications are considered four times in a year: all applications that arrived until 31.1., until 30.4., until 31.7. and until 31.10.

The total amount of your grants from gender equity funds depends on the current budgetary resources and the amount of submitted applications. Please keep in mind the maximum amount for grants (as described in "What is funded?").

When your application has been approved, you get a confirmation. This confirmation you pass to

• Mrs. Finzel (Ref III/2) together with your travel expense report, if you are a research assistant
• Mrs. Haderlein, if you are a student.
