The Faculty Equal Opportunity Officers are available for female students, staff members, and professors of their respective faculty, as well as by female students in exchange programs and visiting scholars. They are the contact point for a wide range of gender-specific concerns and questions, such as:
- Professional orientation and higher education career development
- Pursuing a degree while simultaneously child-rearing
- Advice on applying for financial support, e.g. for participating in conferences
- Career advice (also in connection with maternity and parental leave according to the principles of the WissZeitVG)
- Advice related to dependent relationships
- Sexual harassment
- Sexual discrimination
If necessary, the Faculty Equal Opportunity Officers can refer women to more appropriate university information centers. The Faculty Equal Opportunity Officers see themselves as the first point of contact and cannot provide any legally binding information.
