Studying part time or studying individual modules

You can study the bachelor’s degree programme in Geography part time, or you can choose to complete only individual modules.

Studying part time offers students with children, part-time jobs, disabilities or chronic illnesses in particular the opportunity to reduce their workload during the semester and, as a result, extend the duration of their studies.

For bachelor’s degree programmes in the Faculty of Humanities, the duration of study is extended from six semesters to 12 semesters. For master’s degree programmes, the duration of study is three or four semesters instead of six or eight. You can enrol in a part-time study programme without providing a reason for doing so. It is also possible to switch from a full-time to a part-time programme during any semester’s enrolment period. This reduces the workload in each semester by half.
